Sweet Treats

Fabulous fridge cake

This recipe is an absolute doddle to make, tastes heavenly, and will give you a massive energy boost too. The big benefit here too is that all of the ingredients are raw, and therefore have a much higher nutritional profile.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of coconut oil
100g goji berries
100g of stoned dates
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of Total Nutrition

Method

•Place the cocnut oil into a small saucepan, and melt on a gentle heat.
•Transfer coconut oil, along with all other ingredients, to a food processor, and blend into a smooth firm paste.
•Transfer this to a tray or cake tin, and press down firmly.
•Refrigerate over night. This will leave a firm ‘energy bar’ type textured dish, which can be cut into bars or slices, and will keep for ages.

Cheeky chocolate

Ok, so lets go a little further with the chocolate theme. A little bit can actually do you the world of good, and if you add the virtues of a good helpingh of Total Nutrition powder, then you can most certainly make a good thing even better. Packed with magnesium and antioxidant polyphenols, this recipe becomes an antioxidant powerhouse with the inclusion of Total Nutrition. You also get the added benefit of essential fatty acids from the powder too. So, you really can justify this treat.

Ingredients

2 large choccolate bars - choose 70% cocoa varieties for maximum impact.
4 tablespoons of Total Nutrition.

Method

Now its time to revisit your days as a child making cornflake cakes....

•Place a heat proof glass bowl into a saucepan full of water, over a medium heat.
•Break the chocolate into small pieces and add to the glass bowl.
•Slowly melt the chocolate.
•When the chocolate is melted, stir in the Total Nutrition powder, and mix thouroughly.
•transfer the chocolate mixture to a mould of some sort - I usually use a shallow plastic tub.
•Place in the fridge until set.
•Enjoy!
