Chak 89 gets the Uppercut - Boxing Champion Amir Khan pays a visit!

Chak 89 had a fantastic surprise recently when World Boxing Champion Amir Khan unexpectedly turned up at the exclusive Chak 89 Restaurant.

Unaware Chak 89 members of staff were knocked out when he casually walked up to the manager and asked for a table.

Putting the recent judging scandal behind him, he happily shook hands with other diners and the Chak 89 staff, even allowing diners to take photographs of him at the same time. Amir admired and complimented the restaurant for its ambience before ordering his meal. He later tweeted on AmirKingKhan, his twitter page, how much he enjoyed the food and service.

Frank Khalid owner of Chak 89 commented; “It was great having Amir here at Chak89, I could not believe it when he turned up, it was great to get a picture showing the ‘Fist of friendship’. I hope returns in the near future.”

Chak 89 based in Surrey is well known for its Indian cuisine and ambience attracting celebrities from all over the world the most recent being Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan.
