Cheshire Award-Winning Restauranteur Highlights Use Of Local Produce As New Venue Announced

The Management Team behind Knutsford favourite The Belle Epoque, have made an exciting announcement today, confirming their take-over of neighbouring venue The Rose ‘n’ Crown.

The Rose ‘n’ Crown, a popular public house situated literally next door to The Belle Epoque, on Knutsfords King Street, has now closed for refurbishment, before it opens its doors as The Rose ‘n’ Crown Chophouse on Wednesday 20th March.

Speaking of the news, proprietor and Managing Director of The Belle Epoque, and now The Rose ‘n’ Crown, said ‘As The Belle Epoque is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, we thought it highly appropriate to launch a second site in Knutsford, the town we know and love so much. The Rose ’n’ Crown is already a popular pub, our job here is simply to enhance the food offer, and refurbish the pub and hotel areas, both inside and out’.

The venue will remain very much as a public house, continuing to offer a great place to informally socialise, as well as retaining its casual and relaxed feel for those choosing to drink or dine throughout the week and weekend.

The venue will also enjoy an enhanced food offering, with the management team putting their characteristic stamp on the quality and local sourcing of ingredients, as well as the experience of the kitchen and waiting staff. The Chop House menu will consist of Great British food, presented to diners in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Matthew is keen to emphasise ‘To be clear, the pub will remain a pub, offering a great selection of local cask ales, a new wine list and one or two nice surprises which I hope customers will enjoy’.

Matthew also is an ambassador of local produce, and loves being able to tell the story of each product!

Local produce is the number one priority for the team, and some ingredients couldn’t be much more local! Giving an example of this, Matthew exclaims ‘The Horseradish for our Bloody Mary’s will be grown right next door at The Belle Epoque, in the herb roof garden!’.

For those requiring a place to stay, there will be 16 rooms on offer at The Rose ‘n’ Crown, proving ideal for those staying in the centre of Knutsford. With rooms also at The Belle Epoque, this makes for a very convenient arrangement, particularly when visiting the town in larger groups. Another key advantage is the private parking, which has desirable space for both venues.

Summarising the announcement, Matthew said ‘We are incredibly excited about this new venture and will make every effort to ensure it surpasses the expectation for Knutsford’s drinkers and diners’.

The venue will re-open its doors on Wednesday 20th March, with the website going live in the coming weeks. Those wishing to stay up to date on developments and events, can stay informed via facebook (The Rose ‘n’ Crown Chop House) and twitter (@rcchophouse).
