Some Classic champagne cocktails

Now I say champagne but you could use any sparkling wine really but if you want to call it a champagne cocktail then it really does have to be champagne. What ever you use you want to use a good wine weather it is champagne of just some sparkling wine other wise it will not be what you was expecting, and in most cases use the dry stuff as you will be adding some kind of sugar as you make them

So let us start with the morning and Buck fizz.

Half champagne and half orange juice .

No all depending you can use more orange juice if you like and if you really want to get the full effect then use freshly squeezed orange juice, you can’t beat it.

Or thy a Royal silver

½ a measure of Pore William
½ a measure of Countreau
1 and ½ measures of pink grapefruit juices
And top up with champagne

A little on the storing side but no the less a very refreshing drink but do not have to many before lunch, or dinner come to think of that.

Marilyn Monroe

Now this is named after or in honour of the film actress and is supposed to be made with Dom PĂ©rignon, but you do not have to unless you really want to blow the budget.

4 measures of Dom PĂ©rignon, or some thing similar
1 measure of calvados
½ a measure of grenadine

And then Southern Champagne

1 measure of southern comfort
A dash of angostura bitters
Top up with champagne

This is like a classic champagne cocktail and for that you will need

1 white sugar cube
A dashes bitters
1 measurer cognac
And top up with champagne

All  of these have one thing in common and that is you will need really well chilled champagne to make them and a lot of good company to enjoy them .
