Get Baking And Celebrate Real Bread Maker Week With Manna From Devon Cooking School
Bread expert
and baker David Jones of Manna from Devon Cooking School is encouraging people
to get hands on and busy bread making, helping to raise awareness of Real Bread
Maker Week (10th to 16th May). David
will be sharing his wealth of bread knowledge by hosting two fun and
informative 'Make and Bake' sessions at the popular cooking school in Kingswear
on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th May.
David is a
firm believer bread should be made using first class ingredients, lots of time
and with heaps of respect. His line of
thought is shared by Real Bread Maker Week, which has quickly become Britain's
biggest annual celebration of bread.
During the
two days of workshops, which will run between 3.00pm and 7:30pm, David will
share his passion and enthusiasm for baking, teaching pupils how to shape their
own wholesome loaf and bake it using The Bushman Wood Fired Ovens in Manna from
Devon's purpose built outdoor kitchen.
Whilst waiting for the dough to prove and the loaves to cook those
attending will learn a little about the Real Bread campaign and have the
opportunity to sample a fantastic array of tasty freshly baked breads. Each individual workshop will take
approximately 1¼ - 1½ hours. Places cost
£15 per person (donated to the Real Bread campaign) but are limited with
booking essential. Email David and Holly
at info@mannafromdevon.com to secure a place.
Co-owner of
Manna from Devon Cooking School, David says: "I absolutely love the
technical aspects of bread making and relish the opportunity to be able to
teach pupils how to make as many desirable forms of bread possible within the
allotted time." David continues:
"It's fantastic to see a return in demand for these traditional skills
which offer so many rewards, both on a therapeutic, relaxation level and in the
creation of something delicious."
Manna from
Devon Cooking School runs a number of bread courses throughout the year
