Olympic Party Ideas, cocktails.


Now having sat down and tried to think of this I do not really know what to suggest as a good idea for a party theme for the Olympics. The obvious ones are a London or British theme, Greek, sports or some kind of international around the world theme. Or you could go for I am fed up with so much sport this year I cannot be bother ante Olympic theme, one that I personally would go for. But as I am in the minority and everyone is into spot, apart from me let’s get into the spirit.
And by spirit here are some Olympic cocktails to be drunk at your leisure to make the pain of spectating the great event that little bit easier.
Golden Dream
1 ½  shots  Galliano
1 ½ shots orange juice
1 shot  triple sec
1 shot double  cream

Add everything in to a cocktail shaker over lots of ice , give it all a good shake and then strain over ice in to a glass.
The Olympic
1 ½ shots  brandy
¼  shots  triple sec
Some   orange juice
Dash of lemon juice

In a tall glass add lots of ice then the brandy triple sce and lemon juice, top up with orange juice and stir gently.

London Cocktail, or classic pink gin.
2 shots  gin
2 dashes angostura  bitters
Tonic water to you own taste.

Add two dashes of angostura bitters to a glass , now take a match and light the bitter and let it burn for just a few seconds then blow it out. Add the gin lots of ice and a little tonic .
And finally for those of you who are competing for something, her you are
The Gold Cocktail
2 ½ shots vodka
1 ½ shots Malibu
1tsp shredded coconut
Edible gold powder, for cake decorating

Coat the rim of the glass in the gold powder, fill a shaker with lots of ice the spirits and a pinch of the gold powder. Give it all a good shake and the strain in to the glass.  
Silver Cocktail
2 shots Malibu Rum
2 shots  Cupuacu puree
A splash of fresh lime juice
Edible silver powder for cake decorating

Same as the gold but with sliver powder, coat the rim of the glass in the gold powder, fill a shaker with lots of ice the spirits and a pinch of the silver powder. Give it all a good shake and the strain in to the glass. 
Bronze Cocktail
1 ½   Kahlua
2 shots rum
½ shot Grand Marnier
Edible bronze powder for cake decorating

Ad I am sure if you have read the first to cocktail recipes then you will know how to do this one, coat the rim with bronze powder, fill the shaker, and give good shake and the strain in to the glass.
