Christmas Menus at Giggling Squid: "The Best Thai Red Curry I've Had in My Life."



Giggling Squid, the restaurant which introduced 'Thai Tapas' to the UK, has announced its Christmas menus. There will be a choice of three sharing menus, with a selection of three starters and four main dishes, featuring such favourites as Vegetable Tempura, Chicken Massaman Curry and Beef Gra Po stir-fry.

The 'Jolly Mood' vegetarian menu is priced at £22.50 a head for a minimum of two sharing. The 'Glorious & Cheer' menu costs £25. The 'Fat Santa' option is £26.50.

Giggling Squid has been short listed as Best Thai Restaurant in this year's Asian Curry Awards. The winners will be declared at a glittering awards ceremony at the London Hilton on 15th November.

One of the judges, TV presenter Momtaz Begum-Hossan, when visiting Giggling Squid tweeted, “I don't eat meat but I'm v jealous of fellow judge's main - check out this lamb shank!” before messaging, “Hold that I'm not jealous anymore this is the best Thai red curry I've had in my life #curryjudge @AsianCurryAward.

Giggling Squid will offer its Christmas menus from mid November until the end of January.

“The trend for the office party season not only starting earlier but also continuing well in to January, means it can be so hard to get a table at  popular restaurants,” said Pranee Laurillard who co owns Giggling Squid with husband Andy. “These fixed price sharing menus allow businesses to keep their Christmas celebrations to within their budget, whilst allowing their staff to enjoy what food critics say is some of the best Thai food around.”

Giggling Squid has locations in Brighton, Hove, Horsham, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Billericay, Reigate, Guildford, Marlow, Henley, Stratford upon Avon, Salisbury and Bristol with openings planned for Esher, Berkhamsted and Bury St Edmunds.
