SMORGASBOARD – the board game for foodies

Moving around the figure-of-eight board, players answer questions and take part in activities in four food-related categories

In the recipe for the perfect Christmas, good food and board games will always rank highly on the list of essential ingredients. And now there’s a way to deliciously combine the two! SMORGASBOARD is the brand new board game for foodies, in which players compete in a variety of gourmet challenges including guessing missing ingredients, solving culinary anagrams, gastronomic trivia and even a drizzle of art!

Not just a perfect Boxing Day boredom-buster or flavoursome alternative to the usual festive excesses, SMORGASBOARD is also a fun, unusual gift for the food-lover in everybody’s life, and an entertaining addition to any Yuletide party menu.

Created and designed by husband-and-wife team, Richard Kelly and Maggie Leonard, and beautifully illustrated by award-winning artist Steve Simpson, players take on the guise of aspiring chefs – Mister Broc, Senor Gamba, Monsier Fromage and Les Champs. Moving around the figure-of-eight board, players answer questions and take part in activities in four food-related categories, in search of gastronomic success to ultimately be the first to graduate from Rick’s Culinary Academy.

SMORGASBOARD is available from John Lewis stores nationwide and through a number of independent toy, game and culinary shops in the UK, priced £24.99. Visit www.smorgasboard.ie for further details.
