Diners Urged To Help Their Favourite Wood-Fired Restaurant Win A Woody!

Food lovers who have a favourite eatery that creates food theatre and ambience by cooking food with a wood-fuelled fire, are being urged to help it be rewarded for its efforts by nominating it for a Woody!

New and striking Woody Awards have been specially commissioned by restaurant wood and charcoal supplier, Logs Direct, to reward venues that use this most natural way of creating sublime food and which generate great customer feedback by doing so.

Twelve Woody Awards are up for grabs between May 2015 and April 2016, with a monthly Logs Direct Woody Award ready to be scooped.  The first Woody will be awarded at the end of May and the competition is now open for entry.

To be in with a chance of winning a Woody, eatery owners or chefs that cook with a wood fire – most typically in a pizza oven – simply need to collect three customer reviews of the food they produced in their oven.  The review just needs to include the customer's name and details of what their dish was and why they believe it was worthy of a Woody.  The eatery can then just email the three comments over to enquiries@logsdirect.co.uk

By writing down their views of the wood-fired food that they have eaten and enjoyed, diners can help their eatery gain recognition.  If their eatery doesn't know about the Woody Awards, they can also do them a favour by signposting them to the Logs Direct website at www.logsdirect.co.uk so they can find out more and get their entries sorted out.

Logs Direct will study all entries before choosing a winner for the month. Eateries can enter every month, if they wish, and the competition will roll on throughout the year to April 2016. Logs Direct will present winners with their prize in person, whenever possible, and will help Woody winners generate publicity about their success, within their local area.

Winners will have their success flagged up on social media so they can share the good news with customers. Using #WoodyWinner should become the done thing for restaurants proud of their success.
