Furleigh Estate Launches New Grand Tour And Brings Wine Tasting To Bristol To Celebrate English Wine Week

Bordeaux Quay in Bristol is hosting a trade wine tasting on Thursday May 28, led by Rebecca Hansford, owner of multi-award winning Furleigh Estate in Dorset.

In celebration of English Wine Week, Furleigh Estate has partnered with South West Vineyards for this special tasting, which will showcase its 2014 vintage release. English Wine Week (May 23 – May 31) is a national campaign, designed to raise awareness of English wine, which typically sees vineyard owners, wine merchants and supermarkets across the country getting involved.

The complimentary trade tasting takes place on May 28 from 1-4pm. This will be followed by a wine tasting for the general public from 5-9pm, costing just £10 per person, or £55 for those who choose to stay for a Winemaker Dinner at 7pm.

Situated on Bristol's Harbourside, Bordeaux Quay (www.bordeaux-quay.co.uk) is a restaurant, brasserie, bar, deli, bakery and cookery school housed in an elegant, converted warehouse, offering the very best in seasonal, regionally sourced food and drink.

Situated within 85 acres of rolling countryside in Salway Ash, West Dorset, Furleigh Estate is owned and managed by husband and wife team, Rebecca Hansford and Ian Edwards.
Celebrating its 10th birthday this year, Furleigh Estate is now open for the season. Tours and tastings are available every Friday and Saturday at 2.30pm, and tastings and sales are available every day during English Wine Week from 11am to 5pm.

Furleigh Estate will also launch its first Grand Tour during English Wine Week, on the morning of Friday May 29. This special monthly tour will include a glass of Furleigh Estate sparkling wine on arrival and a personal tour of the vineyard and winery by Rebecca Hansford.

The weekly wine tours cost £10 per person and the monthly Grand Tour costs £20 per person.
