Add A Little Italian Sparkle To Christmas Parties

Newly launched for Christmas, Sprizzato is a delicious and versatile new aperitivo drink that's the ideal ingredient for festive cocktails and is the perfect alternative to Champagne this party season.

Traditional Italian bitters drinks date from Golden Era Italy, and the classic spritz is currently undergoing a huge revival of popularity across the UK as Brits embrace the European love of this pre-dinner drink, with a huge number of dedicated Aperitivo bars and restaurants opening across the capital.
Created by a small and passionate Anglo-Italian team, Sprizzato is a bitter-sweet orange-infused libation, made to a traditional recipe and still distilled in the old-fashioned way with macerated oranges, botanicals and rhubarb using local ingredients from Padua. Sitting somewhere in between Campari and Aperol, less bitter than the former but slightly more so than the latter, Sprizzato is a boutique alternative to more these more standard offerings.
A 'spritz' made with Sprizzato, Prosecco, ice and a dash of soda water is the classic Italian aperitivo, and a fabulous and inexpensive champagne cocktail for any celebration. For a dinner party with a difference, Sprizzato is perfect when served with tiny morsels of 'cichetti' - the italian version of tapas, or alongside home-cooked Mediterranean dishes and a soundtrack of the 1950s and 1960s lounge music.
Sprizzato is also incredibly versatile as a cocktail ingredient. Unusual Negronis, and Sprizzato martinis are all perfect for mixing up to serve at Christmas and New Year parties, and a healthy measure poured into mulled wine is a different twist to this classic.
This festive spiced Flippato cocktail is delicious citrusy alternative to egg nog, and has been specially created by Alessandro Paludet at the Central & Co bar on Great Marlborough St:
