Cocktail making and discovery website Make Me a Cocktail is releasing a new
infographic, showcasing some of the hidden stats and facts of the cocktail
industry and what exactly goes into the most popular cocktails.

Taken from their extensive database of cocktails, the team at Make Me a
Cocktail decided to do some analysis to answer questions such as ‘what are
the top spirits that are used in cocktails’ and ‘what are the most popular
mixers’.

The website was initially created by web developer Nick Wilkins in May 2011
as a way to impress his cocktail-loving girlfriend Hannah. Since its low-key
launch, response to this lively cocktail resource has been phenomenal. With
the site outgrowing its initial constraints it was re-launched earlier this
year with a swathe of new additions and community features.

One of the most popular features is the websites ‘My Bar’ and ‘What Next’
features.

Allowing users to enter exactly what they have in their cupboard to show
them all the possibilities of what they can make with the ingredients they
have, was a fresh approach to the usual ‘flavour decision’ that other
websites showcase.

With that information the site then automatically lets you know what would
be the optimal ingredient to purchase next to increase your bars
possibilities.

Putting together his love for cocktails, a keen passion in interesting
metrics and a helping hand in shaping the cocktail community, a lively
exciting infographic was exactly what the team at Make me a Cocktail were
after.

His girlfriend now enjoys a whole new realm of cocktails.
