Support Local Farmers At First Christmas Food And Farming Festival
27 Nov 12
Make the most of extended opening hours at the Cotswold Farm
Park
The North Cotswold Food and Farming Festival is pleased to
announce their first Christmas Festival will be held on Sunday 2nd December.
Following from the success of their spring and summer events, the team have
decided to introduce a Christmas time event for those wishing to add local food
to their festive menu. Christmas themed
cooking demonstrations with Rob Rees, The Cotswold Chef and local food
producers will take place throughout the day.
The Festival will be held at Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm
Park, who has recently announced they will remain open until Christmas so there
will be plenty of activities for children too including face and pottery
painting. Stall holders will include
local artisan food producers and craft and gift products sourced from the
Cotswold area. There will also be music
throughout the day and at 3pm a live nativity.
Adam Henson, Director of the Cotswold Farm Park said:
"We are very pleased to be hosting the first Christmas Food and Farming
Festival. Over the past year we have found it is a great way to promote both
farming and local food producers - many of whom are either diversified farmers
or source their ingredients locally.
This event gives people from both near and far the opportunity to learn
a bit more about the countryside and sample some of the great delights on
offer."
Stall-holders include Love My Cow, Sophie's Baked Delights,
Bensons Totally Fruity, The Cotswold Chocolate Company, Lower Lodge Bakery,
Ross and Ross Food, Relish the Taste, The Cheltenham Cakery, Selsey Herb &
Spice, The Cotswold Pudding Company, Crudges Cheese, Cotswold Gold, Chillis 2
U, Lovett Pies and The Cotswold Curer. Hot, cold and packaged food will be
available to buy at the event.
The Festival will open at 10.30am and entrance is free. For
