Sundays Are For Relaxing... So Let Moddershall Oaks Do The Cooking!

The Sunday roast is a tradition that has been thriving for centuries in the UK, you will find most households gathering around the dining table to devour a slow-cooked joint of beef and Yorkshire pudding. But haven’t we also forgotten the tradition of Sunday as ‘the day of rest’?

So, put down those oven gloves and step away from the hot stove! Sunday is a day for families to spend quality time together; without mum (or dad) having to slave away in the kitchen.

Usually an adult only resort, Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat (www.moddershalloaks.com), near Stone Staffordshire is now opening up its doors to families in Staffordshire and surrounding counties to experience quality dining in jaw dropping surroundings, every Sunday lunch time.

The venue is the newest addition to Moddershall Oaks’ award-winning foodie status.  As well as hosting Sunday Lunch, it is the perfect location for weddings, parties and events. Opening in December 2010, it won 2nd place banqueting venue in the 2011 Taste of Staffordshire Awards before it was even 12 months old.

The introduction of the Sunday Lunch service offers 2 courses for £13.95 or 3 courses for £17.95 from their extensive Sunday Lunch Menu.

Choices of 4 delicious starters are available including Prawn and Crayfish tail Cocktail and homemade soup.  For mains, customers can choose from a traditional roast dinner with beef hand carved to order, or a range of lunch time favourites.

Feeling summery? Alternatives to the traditional roast include a fish and vegetarian option.

Finally, as well as the day’s specials, desserts include all the naughty favourites from cheesecake to sticky toffee pudding.

Restaurant Manager, Adam Salt said, “Our Sunday Lunch offers something for everyone.  Whether you are looking for that traditional Roast Dinner or something a little bit different, it can be found on the menu here at Moddershall”.

The venue at Moddershall Oaks has a warm and friendly atmosphere and also boasts a gorgeous setting in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Customers can relax in the bar lounge before their dinner and stick around to enjoy a drink in the beautiful outdoor courtyard.

The Sunday Lunch Menu is available every weekend. All ages are welcome; a children’s menu is available with lower prices of 2 courses for £9.50 and 3 courses for £12.50 for under 12’s (Children aged 12 and above must pay adult price). Under 3’s are free.

Advanced booking is advised especially for larger parties but not entirely essential. Private dining is available for minimum of 30 adult diners (prior booking essential with deposit & pre-order). Please note menu items are subject to change.
