St Ermin's Hotel, Mother's Day 'Tea-Torial' Experience
With elegant
afternoon tea increasingly en vogue, the charming new Tea Lounge at the St
Ermin’s Hotel, St James’s Park plays host to an extra special afternoon tea
event this Mother’s Day.
The Mother's
Day ‘Tea-torial’ (at £39.00 per person) offers an opportunity to discuss the
evolution, customs and etiquette of this quintessentially English custom with
tea historian and expert, Caroline Hope; compare and contrast the flavours of a
select range of teas courtesy of London’s award winning Newby Teas and then
enjoy a delicious new Spring Afternoon Bellini Tea, created by the St Ermin’s
Hotel’s own MasterChef finalist, Adam Handling.
Adam’s new
Bellini Afternoon Tea (at £34.00 per person) will also be served in the Tea
Lounge every afternoon between 12 noon and 6pm. Combining a mouth-watering
range of classic sandwiches and savoury pastries - such as smoked salmon &
caviar, chicken & mango, beef & horseradish, mushroom tart - alongside
a trio of freshly baked Earl Grey, raisin and orange scones served with
homemade jams and clotted cream plus luxurious selection of sweet treats –
peanut butter cake, tonka bean pannacotta, yuzu lemon merinque pie, rum &
lime chocolate truffle and juniper lemon macaron. The new tea is enjoyed
alongside a fine selection of Newby loose teas and free-flowing peach or
strawberry Bellinis.
Taking place
12:30pm - 2:30pm and 3:00pm - 5:00pm on the afternoon of 30th March for
Mothering Sunday, the St Ermin’s and Newby Tea-torials cost £39.00 per person
and include: Newby Teas tasting and expert tutorial, led by Caroline Hope; Adam
Handling’s new Spring afternoon tea with free flowing peach or strawberry
Bellinis, plus gift bag with a tin of St Ermin’s special blend of Newby’s tea
and a ‘Shall I Be Mother?’ booklet. To book please visit
