District House Officially Opens Its Doors
LIVERPOOL'S newest cocktail bar, restaurant and event space,
District House has officially opened its doors, creating 60 jobs.
Located on Water Street, an area of the city that is
experiencing a huge surge of new food and beverage operators, the venue has
capacity for up to 600 guests as an event space or 350 diners across the new
cocktail lounge, restaurant and private dining mezzanine.
Operated by Know Hospitality and privately owned, more than
£1m has been invested in refurbishing the venue.
Steven Hesketh, founder of Know Hospitality, said: “We're
immensely proud of this new venue which has brought a beautiful space back to
life. District House is completely unique in its offering for this part of the
city and we have been overwhelmed by the support shown by local businesses and
guests during out soft launch period.”
Founded in October 2013, The Know Collection, which includes
Know Hospitality Management Services, Know Property & Facilities Management
Services and Know Hospitality Academy, now employs more than 120 staff and has
a £6m turnover.
District House is the latest addition to its management
portfolio which also includes The Richmond Aparthotel in Hatton Garden,
Ameriesko Coffee Shop and ESK Fitness & Beauty.
Andy Duckworth, director of Know Hospitality, added: “This
is the start of an exciting period of growth for the Know Collection and we're
hoping to bring several new concepts to the city over the coming months. Having
recently joined the board, District House is a fantastic project to be working
on and we know the whole team will work hard to make it a huge success. We had
a great launch night with more than 500 guests plus flash mobs and a stunning
performance from Anton Stephans. We have also built up an impressive roster of
events for the coming months in just a few weeks of trading."
