Estrella Damm reveals ‘pop-up’ gastronomic experience at ‘Taste of London’ festival
‘Beer of Barcelona’ and Omar Allibhoy team up to create innovative Tapas Master Classes in London’s Regent’s Park
London, 16th June 2011: Estrella Damm, Spain’s leading premium beer brand today announces a series of exclusive Estrella Damm Beer & Tapas Master Classes to visitors to the ‘Taste of London’ food and drink festival in Regent’s Park.
For just four days only Tapas Revolution’s Omar Allibhoy, who was trained by El Bulli’s legendary head chef Feran Adrià, will create a feast for the senses with demonstrations of how to create innovative tapas such as ‘Roasted pepper and anchovy’, ‘Foie gras lollipop, PX glaze and pistachio’, ‘Endives & Valdeon cheese foam’, ‘Morcilla de Burgos’ and ‘Mussels in escabeche’.
Currently Executive Chef at Notting Hill’s renowned El Pirata Detapas, Omar has also recently opened Tapas Revolution in London’s Westfield centre. Food writer and critic Tom Parker Bowles recently described Omar as a "real talent" and his food as "luscious".
Food and drink lovers visiting the Estrella Damm stand at Taste of London, taking place in London’s Regent’s Park from 16th – 19th June, will be able to sample these five exclusive tapas, created especially by Omar to compliment the fresh, creamy texture and lingering aftertaste of Estrella Damm,
The brand’s appearance at the event coincides with the premiere of Estrella Damm’s new short film, ‘elBulli’. Shot in the legendary Spanish restaurant, the film stars upcoming Spanish actress Elena Anaya and elBulli’s master of gastronomy himself, Ferran Adrià.
The film follows four young chefs in training at the legendary restaurant during an idyllic summer. elBulli has the remarkable record of having former trainees featuring in seven of the top ten restaurants featured in ‘The World's 50 Best Restaurant Awards 2011’.
Estrella Damm has been available across the UK since 2007 and is stocked various supermarkets including Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
