Catering Innovation, A Shared Ethos
Contemporary event caterer Food Show and acclaimed chef
Jason Atherton commence a new partnership
Food Show are delighted to announce a new partnership with
Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton, the creative culinary mind behind one of
the most celebrated restaurants in London, Pollen Street Social.
The partnership is the result of a shared ethos in both
parties' approach to food and fine dining; prioritising the importance of fresh
locally sourced ingredients, culinary flair and inventive dining experiences.
Andrew Gosling, Food Show CEO, explained 'Both Food Show and
Jason are focused on quality, provenance and superior service; but the real
affinity comes from our approach to fine dining experiences, an understated
manner and an honest thirst to create excellent modern menus. We are fun,
informal and
customer friendly. This partnership is an exploration and an
extension of the egalitarian ethos of Food Show, and as a contemporary event
caterer I think this is where we stand out.'
Food Show was founded 22 years ago and still remains a
private company under Andrew's direction. The new partnership will see Jason
working alongside Food Show's Director of Food, Max Uyanik, developing an
exciting range of bespoke menus. Food Show has a reputation for delivering spectacular
events across the industry, and will now engage Jason for exclusive event
appearances.
Jason's impressive credentials and unrivalled experience
have seen him work alongside high profile chefs including Pierre Koffman, Nico
Ladenis, Stephen Terry and Marco Pierre White. Jason famously created the
concept for Gordon Ramsey's Maze restaurant in Mayfair. Whilst at Maze Jason
honed his love and aptitude for inventive, small sharing plates and developed
the style into his, now, signature deformalized gourmet experience.
Jason's eagerly anticipated solo venture Pollen Street
Social has achieved a rarely paralleled success; awarded a Michelin Star within
the first year of opening, London's Best New Fine Dining Restaurant in the Time
Out Eating & Drinking Awards 2011, BMW Square Meal Restaurant of the Year
2011 and Good Food Guide
Restaurant of the Year. Jason was also the recipient of
Chef of the Year at the coveted 2012
Catey Awards.
Jason said 'Partnering with Food Show will enable me to
create innovative food design for a new type of client in the catering and
event space. My own reputation for serving modern British food with Asian
nuances has a major emphasis on seasonal produce and regional specialities and
it this approach that I share with Food Show - a love for fresh, seasonal
produce and flexible high-end dining which is paramount to the collaboration.
It is on these building blocks that I hope to raise the profile of Food Show to
have the notability it deserves and to offer Food Show clients a new
experience.'
