The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant Introduces A Unique Cigar Pairing Menu
07 Dec 12
As the winter evenings draw in, The Rib Room Bar &
Restaurant in Knightsbridge (Cadogan Place, London SW1X 9PY;
www.theribroom.co.uk; tel: +44 (0)20 7858 7250) is launching a new pairing
menu, marrying one of The Rib Room’s finest cigars with a spirit to perfectly
complement the after-dinner experience.
The carefully curated pairing menu by Head Sommelier Louise
Gordon matches a range of the finest cognacs, whiskies and sherries with a
cigar of the highest quality from The Rib Room’s humidor.
Cigar fans buying two boxes of cigars will be entered into a
draw to win the chance to store their cigars in one of the exclusive cigar
keeps free of charge for a year.
As night falls, The Rib Room’s cigar terrace is transformed
into a COSA (Cosy Outdoor Smoking Area): heated, hidden away and providing a
paradise for cigar aficionados to indulge their passion and savour their
selection to the fullest.
Head Sommelier Louise Gordon comments: “We have an
outstanding selection of premium spirits and quality cigars in stock at The Rib
Room so I am thrilled to present a menu that pairs the distinctive aromas and
flavours of both so well. I believe we have created a varied menu that guests
will enjoy, learn from and revisit again and again.”
A highlight from the cigar pairing menu is a Cohiba Maduro
Genios cigar accompanied by a glass of Zacapa 23 Year Old, ultra-premium rum.
The unique honey, butterscotch, spiced oak and dried fruit flavours beautifully
offset the toasty leather and nutty qualities of the Genios.
The Rib Room Bar & Restaurant is a legendary
Knightsbridge institution offering an array of modern British dishes redefined
for the 21st century by Head Chef Ian Rudge, created using the finest
ingredients from the four corners of the UK. Diners can choose from a blend of
classic British dishes such as the signature Aberdeen Angus rib of beef and
modern, seasonal options all accompanied by a carefully selected wine list
presented on fully interactive iPads.
