As a new year approaches we all make those little promises to ourselves; go on a diet, spend more time with the family, learn a new skill, but even with the best intentions they can sometimes all be forgotten by February. LucyCooks has a 2013 calendar that's bursting with inspirational and fun cookery classes that will give you that new skill you always wanted, allow you to spend more time with the family in the kitchen or even eat more healthily!

Friday 4th January: Men in the Kitchen - £145

This course does exactly what it says on the tin; a beginner's guide to cookery for those nervous novices. Learn to create delicious dishes such as a celeriac and saffron veloute, slow cooked Tuscan pork belly or a Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Friday 25th January: Classic Cookery for Beginners - £135

This course will provide you with all the confidence you need to create a fabulous, three course meal that will wow your friends and family. Not only will you learn how to master dishes such as Sweetcorn chowder, Stuffed ballontine of chicken on a bed of risotto, One pot dish and Chocolate Stripey Sponge, you will also learn a whole new skill set that will stay with you for life including, knife skills, cake making and how to create soups and stocks.

Saturday 2nd February: Family Funday—£125

Discover the simple pleasures of cooking with your mum, dad, sons, daughters or even grandma and granddad and enjoy making, creating and sharing delicious food. This course aims to inspire the whole
family to get creative in the kitchen, so whether your making Kickin' Chickin Lickin, sticky coconut rice, or raring to rack up a rosti, you'll be taking home a variety of new skills and plenty of memories.

Thursday 21st February: A Taste of Asia - £145

Fresh ingredients, short cooking times and aromatic spices; Asian cooking is the perfect place to start if you are not that confident in the kitchen and will leave you will the skills to create fast, flavourful and healthy food at home! Dishes you may be creating on the day, Glass Noodle Soup, Tandoori Perch, Stuffed Lamb Patties or Crispy Dough Rings.
