Olly Smith Raises A Glass With Hotel du Vin



Renowned expert joins forces with leading boutique hotel group to celebrate the fun of wine

Hotel du Vin, the group of 14 characterful hotels across the UK, has embarked on a partnership with Olly Smith, the ebullient and dynamic wine pundit.

The celebrated wine author and popular television aficionado on all things vino is taking his love of wine on tour launching a quartet of wine dinners at different Hotel du Vin locations around the country - each one bespoke with dishes selected to pair the wines on a journey of eager sampling infused with Olly's uniquely infectious enthusiasm.

Olly will lead the charge with a romp through The Classics: Wine's Greatest Hits for his first event showcasing just how and why top notch winemakers, vineyards, grapes and bottles earn their prestige and status.  This event is taking place at Hotel du Vin Birmingham on 3rd November 2013.

Olly's Secrets of Matching Wine With Food feast will take place at Hotel du Vin, Bristol on 16 March 2014.  While on 27th April 2014, Olly will guide diners at Hotel du Vin Harrogate with Rioja & Beyond - The Legends of Spanish Vino focussing beyond the delights of rocking Rioja.  Finally on 8th June 2014 in Brighton is Olly's guide to the Hidden Gems of Portugal.

The Hotel du Vin Olly Smith Wine Dinners will each comprise canapés followed by five courses, each carefully paired with wines selected by Olly, as well as coaching on wine in his unique style.  Tickets will retail at £95 per person are available for the first wine dinner on 3 November at Hotel du Vin Birmingham.
