Partridges Fly High With Food Photography



Partridges, the grocers by Royal Appointment to HM The Queen, have joined forces with Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, the world's leading awards recognising the art and diversity of food photography, to sponsor the Food For Sale category which will be shown at the Mall Galleries in 2015.

“We are absolutely delighted to be collaborating with the Awards and this category in particular,” says John Shepherd, Managing Director of Partridges, the iconic grocer's shop which has become a landmark in Chelsea's Duke of York Square. “It is exciting for us to be able to encourage the depiction of food being sold across the world in these prestigious awards. We very much look forward to exhibiting them in the store next year too. ”

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, founded in 2011, attracts thousands of entries from across the world, and already has strong Chelsea connections – the annual Judges' Dinner is held at the Saatchi Gallery and long-time Chelsea resident, David Loftus, Jamie Oliver's photographer is on the Judging Panel.

“It's a huge pleasure to welcome Partridges as part of the Awards family,” says Caroline Kenyon, Founder and Director of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year. “They have been synonymous with the very best food retailing for years and we are also very pleased to welcome John Shepherd on to the Judging Panel.”

Other new judges for 2015 include Anglo-French culinary legend Michel Roux Jr., Emily Luchetti, Chair of the James Beard Foundation, USA, and George Motz, Founder and Director, Food Film Festival NYC, who joining luminaries such as Jay Rayner, Chair, (The Guardian, Observer, BBC's The One Show), Sanjeev Kapoor, India's culinary superstar and Chris Beetles, of Beetles & Huxley, one of the world's leading galleries specialising in photography.
