My Beef Burger.
For the best burger you need to make them yourself and for that you just need a few moments and you will have some of the best burgers that you have ever eaten.
You will need
For the burgers
675g/1½ lb of lean minced beef
1 small onion as fine diced as you can get it
2 tabelspoons of chopped parsley
Salt and fresh ground black pepper
Mustard or anchovy fillet optional extras
4 burger buns
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced onions rings
Lettuces leaves
Sliced dill pickle
4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon of horseradish sauce
First make your burger. Take your onion, parsley, salt and pepper, and add to a bowl. Now if you want you can add a little mustard for a kick or some fine chopped anchovy if you like. The truth is that you can add a little of anything at this stage even chilli, garlic, and ginger if you like.
Then add the beef and take your hand and work everything together. The more you work the mix the better it will combine and the more the flavours will come together. Then dived the mix into about four nice big burger patties and place in the fridge to set up for about thirty minutes.
Now you can make the dressing for the burgers. Take your mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, and horseradish, and mix them all together . This makes a sweet and hot mayonnaise dressing that goes really well with the burgers.
Now to cook the best burger you need to have the barbecue all fired up and working for a slow grilling. Place the burger on a warm part but not too hot. You do not want them cooking to fast that the outside will get all burnt. Also with minced beef it is only safe to have the burgers cooked all the way through. If you eat a pink burger then you are taking a increased risk of food poisoning.
Seal the burger on both sides and then keep turning till cooked . Then add them to the burger bun with all the salad and dressing.
And that is a great burger , made with you own special spices if you like . Now all you need is a sunny day and a cool drink and you have the perfect afternoon.
