There has never been a better time for caterers to serve
Tetley tea with the company embarking on its biggest marketing programme for
ten years. The ‘Make Time, Make Tetley’ media campaign will run across a
multitude of media and throughout both consumer and trade platforms. The new
positioning has been designed to further increase Tetley’s market share by
attracting new and younger consumers to the hot beverage category.
Dorothy Sieber, Marketing Director for Tetley Tea explains
how caterers can benefit from the new positioning and strategy:
“This is Tetley’s biggest marketing campaign for ten years
and is very much focussed on the importance of spending quality time,
face-to-face, with people who are special to you, over a great quality cup of
tea. This soirée can be in a variety of
locations; from the home, the local restaurant, pub, or café, and ultimately
fits perfectly with our away from home message of promoting the benefits of
serving great tea out of home. To help
caterers take advantage of this latest activity, Tetley is looking to offer
increased levels of brand support - new out of home POS will help to reinforce
the message in the mind of the consumer, whilst we a fresh new look and feel to
our existing catering specific website, will also include added functionality
In addition we will be enhancing our online shop, whilst a
new B2B social media platform will keep caterers up to date with the latest
news and views in the industry.”

over a hundred years. The campaign promotes the importance of spending quality
time, face-to-face, with people who are special to you, over a great quality
cup of tea. Make Time, Make Tetley, is already being aired on national TV,
Radio and in association with C5 film sponsorship. The out of home campaign will include new
POS, changes to the current website and extensive brand led support from our
dedicated team.
The new Make Time, Make Tetley positioning strategy is sure
to bring about some big changes in the industry, working across multiple media
