Olympic Bronze Medal winners Jon Schofield and Liam Heath are buzzing this
week – following their participation in the Victory Parade through London
yesterday, today they visited their main sponsor, The Active Honey Company
in Leicestershire, receiving a warm welcome and cheers from all employees.
Local businesses are the unsung heroes of this summer’s British Olympic
success. The 200m sprint kayakers have been sponsored by The Active Honey
Company and their parent company, Lifeplan, for two years and like many of
the Team GB athletes, have been keen to acknowledge the support of their
local sponsors, as in many cases the reality is that without their support
they may not have been able to achieve such outstanding success.
Jon Schofield commented, "Lifeplan has been incredibly generous in their
support of Liam and me, for which we will always be tremendously grateful.
I also intend to keep taking Active Rainforest Honey daily as it helps me
cope with the demanding lifestyle of an athlete whilst maintaining a strong
immune system and staying healthy."
To help ensure optimum health and fitness to achieve their Olympic Bronze,
Jon Schofield and Liam Heath included Active Rainforest Honey in their diet.
The athletes have been taking a spoonful of the honey at night to help them
burn fat whilst they sleep. Honey is historically well-known for its
medicinal and healing properties and research also suggests that it may aid
weight control too.
Lifeplan has been one of the UK’s leading providers and exporters of quality
nutritional products for the past 29 years, with products available in
leading supermarkets and specialist retailers in the UK. Their Active
Rainforest Honey brand includes a range of traditional edible honey
available in four active strengths,10+, 20+, 30+ and 40+ with clinically
proven health and wellbeing benefits include successfully tackling coughs,
colds, sore throats and mild digestive complaints. The 100% pure Chilean
honey is derived from the unpolluted and uninhabited volcanic areas of Chile
and it is incredibly potent because it is raw and unpasteurised to maintain
activity and biopotency.
Lifeplan managing director, Jamie Christie and his staff were delighted to
welcome their Olympic heroes adorned with their Bronze Medals. He said;
“Jon and Liam’s success and that of all the Team GB athletes is testament to
the commitment and support from local businesses around the UK and the
contribution they have made to Team GB’s success. Everyone at Lifeplan is
very proud.”
