Watch Our Unique Harvest Video

Over 5 months, Bottom Farm in Northamptonshire filmed their rapeseed crops growing from small plants to harvest to create a unique video depicting the changing colours of our countryside. In this video you can see how their rapeseed crops change from small plants to the bright yellow fields we are so familiar with and beyond.

As a LEAF demonstration farm, Farrington Oils grow their crops to high environmental standards. The seeds grown are then pressed and bottled on the family farm to produce the award winning Farrington's Mellow Yellow cold pressed rapeseed oil.

Farrington Oils, founded by farmer Duncan Farrington in 2005, was Britain's first seed-to-bottle producer of cold pressed rapeseed oil and is grown to LEAF marque standards on the family farm in Northamptonshire.

Duncan has led the growth of the cold pressed rapeseed oil sector within the UK and the company has won many awards for its products and innovation. With a smoke point of 220°C, cold pressed rapeseed oil is a wonderful high temperature cooking oil.

Cold pressing is a traditional and natural process where we simply press the seeds and filter the oil. Unlike other vegetable oils, cold pressed rapeseed oil contains the right balance of omega 3, 6 and 9, making it a great choice of essential fatty acids.

It is also half the saturated fat of olive oil and is growing in popularity with chefs and home cooks.
