School's Out So Get Baking!
Stuck for
ideas on things to do this summer with the kids, then why not sign up to a
baking course and learn some new skills?
Delightful
Tea Bake School, in Great Wakering, Essex, has put together a programme of
exciting and fun baking courses running throughout the summer holidays and
designed specifically for parents and children aged 8 to 13.
With classes
teaching how to make cake pops, teatime treats and cupcakes, kids and adults
will have fun learning new skills and techniques whilst spending quality time
together.
“It can be
hard to think of new ways to entertain the kids during the long summer holiday
and we've had so many parents enquiring about classes aimed specifically at
parents and children,” explains Sarah Plumb, who runs Delightful Tea Bake
School. “Each of the three classes we're offering aims to inspire both kids and
adults alike and hopefully give them new skills that they can practice at
home.”
These great
value, bite-size introductory classes take place in the lovely, purpose-built
kitchen at the school, with all the ingredients and equipment supplied , along
with recipe cards to take home and complimentary refreshments. “We've kept the
classes fairly short, one and a half hours each, so children stay interested.
We will be running nine courses throughout the holidays and we're sure they
will be incredibly popular,” adds Sarah.
Each class
costs just £35 and that price includes one parent and one child (£15 extra per
additional child), with a maximum of eight per session. For more information,
