Lazy Jacks Kitchen Launches Two Exclusive Ice-Cream Flavours
Expanding
their taste for the unexpected Lazy Jacks Kitchen has created two exclusive
ice-cream flavours with Moomaid of Zennor. The decadently different delights
are already proving popular with visitors to the Fowey based eatery.
LJK, known
for its boundary-pushing attitude towards foodie flavours, is famed for its
off-the-wall take on the traditional ice-cream parlour. Visitors can now try
'Pirates delight': rum and apple pie and a cheeky 'Mojito'. Delicious!
Owner Mike
Redmond likes to inject his personality into the products innovatively setting
his ice-creamery apart from an otherwise vanilla market. He said, “We think
it's really important to keep things fun and interesting. Creativity is key to
the business and perfecting new and different recipes is a part of the LJK
DNA.”
Marching to a
creatively anarchic tune, Mike left behind a life of suits and stress in London
in favour of one full of flavour in Fowey. Spotting a gap in the market, he
wanted his new business to offer a twist on the traditional Cornish childhood
holiday nostalgia. Now even more firmly sitting in the “Cool Cornwall” category
of Cornish businesses, JLK very quickly made a name for itself with its edgy
style and on-the-ball team of staff.
Since his
Bourbon and Cornflake ice-cream launched last summer Mike is continuing his
collaboration with Moomaid of Zennor dreaming up dark and deliciously different
recipes to tempt locals and visitors alike.
