The Mango Lounge, Windsor Retains Top Position In Biba (Best In Britain Awards) For The For The Third Year Running
Winning
awards and accolades has become second nature to Mango Lounge, Windsor. BIBA
(Best in Britain Awards) was created in 1996 by Peter Grove, the editor of
Menu/Mood Food magazine. Assisted by wife Colleen Grove and other discerning
judges, Peter hands out awards to select Indian restaurants across
Britain.
Every year
thousands of entries hope for a top place and this year again Mango Lounge has
been placed among the top 50 restaurants alongside the likes of Cinnamon Club,
Café Spice Namaste, Tamarind, Benaras and others in the same league.
Mango Lounge
was established in December 2007 and has been winning awards consistently since
2009 for it’s exquisite cuisine, excellent service and a top class wine list.
Mango Lounge is the proud owner of awards like ‘Best in Berkshire’ (Windsor
Express), ‘Best in Britain’ (Mood Food Magazine/ BIBA), Best in the South
(Asian Curry Awards) and ‘Best in the South’ (Cobra Good Curry Guide). Head
chef Ashwani Kumar himself has won a number of awards including
International Indian Chef of the Year in 2013.
The menu in
Mango Lounge reflects the true heritage of Indian food. Ashwani Kumar and his
team entice their customers with traditional Indian flavours with a brilliant
modern twist. Ashwani’s creations such as Tiger Prawn Martini, Pan
SearedSscallops on spicy crushed peas, Lamb Shank in masala fig sauce have all
won awards in the National Curry Week competition every year.
