The Mango Lounge, Windsor Retains Top Position In Biba (Best In Britain Awards) For The For The Third Year Running

Winning awards and accolades has become second nature to Mango Lounge, Windsor. BIBA (Best in Britain Awards) was created in 1996 by Peter Grove, the editor of Menu/Mood Food magazine. Assisted by wife Colleen Grove and other discerning judges, Peter hands out awards to select Indian restaurants across Britain.

Every year thousands of entries hope for a top place and this year again Mango Lounge has been placed among the top 50 restaurants alongside the likes of Cinnamon Club, Café Spice Namaste, Tamarind, Benaras and others in the same league.

Mango Lounge was established in December 2007 and has been winning awards consistently since 2009 for it’s exquisite cuisine, excellent service and a top class wine list. Mango Lounge is the proud owner of awards like ‘Best in Berkshire’ (Windsor Express), ‘Best in Britain’ (Mood Food Magazine/ BIBA), Best in the South (Asian Curry Awards) and ‘Best in the South’ (Cobra Good Curry Guide).  Head  chef Ashwani Kumar himself has won a number of awards including International Indian Chef of the Year in 2013.

The menu in Mango Lounge reflects the true heritage of Indian food. Ashwani Kumar and his team entice their customers with traditional Indian flavours with a brilliant modern twist. Ashwani’s creations such as Tiger Prawn Martini, Pan SearedSscallops on spicy crushed peas, Lamb Shank in masala fig sauce have all won awards in the National Curry Week competition every year.

Mango Lounge has earned a reputation of being a top class Indian restaurant in the Royal Borough of Windsor and the entire team work hard to maintain the high standards which have become synonymous with this fine eatery.
