Feel Free For Gluten Free Moves Into Free From Breakfast Market

Gluten and wheat free brand Feel Free for Gluten Free are moving into the free from breakfast market with the launch of their granola and granola bars.

The new range, which will be launched at the Allergy & Free From Show in London’s Olympia on 4, 5 and 6 July, includes three types of oat free granola and three granola bars.

The granolas have been developed using a blend of buckwheat and millet flakes, avoiding oats which some coeliacs and others on a gluten free diet cannot tolerate.

Feel Free For Gluten Free’s granola comes in three varieties: honey & nut, fruit & nut, and strawberry & almond. They are sold in 340g boxes.

Sally Allister, Managing Director of Yorkshire-based Feel Free for Gluten Free, said:

“So many of the free from granolas already on the market that we tasted felt like they were lacking something. We were keen to create a granola that wouldn’t leave us feeling that something was missing.

“We also wanted our granola range to be free from oats while still having the quality and texture you would expect from a traditional granola. To achieve this, we have blended buckwheat and millet flakes with hazelnut, almonds and fruit to create a delicious, versatile granola that has a great crunchy texture. It’s incredibly moreish too!”

Feel Free For Gluten Free are also launching a granola bar range to offer another on-the-go snacking option for anyone on a gluten free diet. The bars come in three varieties: mixed fruit, blueberry, and chocolate chip.

Like the granolas, the bars have been blended without oats to make them suitable for people who cannot tolerate oats in addition to gluten. Our fruit granola bars have been created using peanuts and a blend of rice and corn flakes. Our chocolate chip bars are made with a base of rice, millet and corn, and the result is a delicious chewy granola bar.

All our granola bars are dairy free, as well as being free from gluten and wheat, even our chocolate chip bars. Feel Free For Gluten Free’s granola bars are available in packs of five bars.

Sally Allister added:

“I’ve got first-hand experience of being a coeliac and trying to find something to eat whilst on the move. It can be problematic at times. So we wanted to create a delicious and filling snack that people like me could have to hand in their bags or pockets ready for when hunger strikes.”

Consumers can buy Feel Free for Gluten Free’s new granolas for around £3.69 a 340g box. The granola bars are priced around £2.99 for a box of five.

They are currently available to order online from Feel Free For Gluten Free’s online shop, as well as in selected Budgens and Londis stores. Feel Free for Gluten Free is also in negotiations with larger high street retailers to stock their granola and granola bar range.

Feel Free For Gluten Free will also be running special launch offers on their new granolas and granola bars at July’s Allergy Show in London. The brand will also have their frozen range of pies, pasties, ready meals, party packs and desserts for sale too, as well as their ambient ranges of baking mixes and corn pasta.

Stuart Allister, Operations Director, said:

“The Allergy & Free From Show is a very important event for us as it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet our customers who loyally buy from us online throughout the year. It’s a great networking opportunity too and we’re looking forward to engaging with retail and food service buyers and showcasing our newest product lines to them.”
