Judges 'Go Nuts' For Andre Garrett's Taste Sensation



Judges attending the Taste of London food festival last night awarded André Garrett first prize for his fabulous 'Peanut Butter Parfait with Salted Caramel and Raspberry Jam' dessert and the accolade of second best dish overall in the 'Taste of London Awards 2014'.

Executive Head Chef, André Garrett who opened his eponymous restaurant - André Garrett at Cliveden - last autumn, to fabulous reviews from restaurant critics and diners, is taking part in the 'Taste of London' food festival representing Cliveden for the first time this June.

Taste of London is part of the Taste Festivals programme, where the host city's most acclaimed restaurants and chefs gather in a stunning location to present their signature dishes to thousands of 'foodie' visitors. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Taste of London is the jewel in the Taste Festivals crown, attracting 55,000 visitors to Regent's Park every year.
 
Regent's Park has been transformed into a foodie wonderland for the four days of summer eating, drinking and entertainment. Visitors have the unique opportunity to dine from 40 of the capital's top restaurants, try and buy from 200 food and drink producers, enjoy a fine wine tasting and watch some of the world's greatest chefs demonstrate their skills live on stage.

Taste Festivals have set a new benchmark for food and drink events worldwide with 21 Taste Festivals now being hosted around the world including:  the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Wherever it is in the world, Taste represents foodie heaven: stunning food prepared by the city's greatest restaurants, world famous chefs, superb drink and outstanding entertainment. From household names to emerging super stars, the Taste of London chef line-up includes many new names for 2014 including our own Andre's Garrett, plus familiar faces such as Monica Galetti, Nathan Outlaw, Tom Kerridge and Michel Roux Jr.

André, who moved to Berkshire after nearly eight years as Head Chef at Galvin at Windows at the London Hilton Park Lane, is thrilled to take a 'Taste of Cliveden' to the Taste of London festival.

The lunch and dinner menu at Cliveden House is £65* for three courses, including coffee and bon bons from the Trolley, There is a weekly-changing Market Menu at lunch (Monday-Saturday) at £28* for three courses, a £50* three-course Sunday lunch menu, and an eight-course Tasting Menu, available daily for dinner only, at £95* (with matched wines at £75).

The international wine list comprises approximately 800 bins, starting at £28 with a range of 20 by the glass (from £8). The Champagne trolley features six Champagnes, starting with NW Taittinger Brut (£15 glass).

André Garrett at Cliveden is open daily for lunch (12.15 pm - 2.30 pm) and dinner (7.00 pm - 10.00 pm) looked after by Restaurant Manager Alastair Phillips and his team.
