Diet Season Helps Koji Move Into Health Food Market
Future Drinks has secured its first listings in the health
food market for its premium soft drink, KOJI, thanks to the start of the
traditional healthy eating and drinking season. Health food retailer As Nature
Intended, premium retailer The Grocery Store as well as wholesalers Marigold
and The Health Store are just a few of the new accounts that are now stocking
these sparkling fruit infusions.
At 49 calories per 330ml bottle and additive-free, KOJI is
proving a popular choice for calorie conscious consumers, looking to cut back
after the excesses of Christmas and New Year but wanting something refreshing
and more grown-up to drink than a sweet fizzy drink.
Tim Chater, co-founder of Future Drinks Ltd said "It is
great to see our brand being recognised in the Health food market, we always
felt it would be a good fit and the timing for retailers to trial KOJI is
perfect. We are growing faster than we anticipated, having originally set out
to establish ourselves first as a South West brand. The rapid popularity with
publicans, particularly in London, has delighted us and we are now gaining
momentum and being stocked in accounts out of the region.
"The next step is to launch into the premium grocery
market and we are looking to do that in early 2013. The new sales and repeat
orders suggest we are filling a gap in the market and our collaboration with
Brothers Drinks means we have the capacity and ability to fulfil orders
nationwide."
KOJI is stocked in more than 125 accounts including Loungers
bars and Cosy Clubs and Chandos Deli.
The RealPubs, Whiting & Hammond, Thorley Taverns as well as Mildreds
which is the No 3 vegetarian restaurant in the UK.
KOJI is available in cases of 12, with an RSP of around
£2.50. To order please contact Luke
Sapsed at Future Drinks Ltd on 0117 3705 773 and for more information see
