Lighten Up This January With MU
After an indulgent Christmas, January is the time when we
all start making resolutions to stock up on the veggies and shed a few pounds.
But eating healthily doesn't have to be a chore - MU Mature Lighter Cheese has
30% less fat than standard cheddar but all the flavour. Try this delicious
recipe from family cheese brand MU to help keep those waistlines trim.
MU cheese salad
Makes 1 salad
Ingredients:
1 little gem lettuce, cut length ways
15 grapes, cut in half
1 stick of celery, diced
1 red apple, diced
2 tbsp crème fraiche
1 tbsp low fat mayonnaise
1 pear, peeled and sliced
Handful of walnuts, chopped
Lemon juice from half a lemon
30g MU Mature Lighter Cheddar
Method:
Mix the crème fraiche, mayo and lemon juice together
Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl and toss
the dressing through
Place into a serving plate and shave the MU Cheddar over the
salad
